Of
the thousands of orphaned and abandoned children in China (mostly girls) only a small percentage
will ever be adopted which means that most of them will spend their
formative years in overcrowded and underfunded orphanages. And because the
Chinese government contributes only $40 per month per child for food, clothing, shelter, education and health care -
only the most basic care can be given and only the strong will survive.
The Zhanjiang Kids Organization is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supplies desperately needed necessities to children at the Zhanjiang Social Welfare Institute in Southern China. ZKO's board of directors is comprised of a group of parents who have adopted children from this orphanage and each and every one of them works on a volunteer basis to insure that 100% of all contributions goes directly to provide for children at the Institute.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference and save a child's life. To learn how you can help, please click through to Zhanjiang Kids.
