Of
the thousands of orphaned and abandoned children in China (mostly
girls) only a small percentage
will ever be adopted which means that most of them will spend their
formative years in overcrowded and underfunded orphanages. And because
the
Chinese government contributes only $40 per month per child for food,
clothing, shelter, education and health care only the most basic care
can be given and only the strongest will survive.
The Zhanjiang Kids Organization is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supplies desperately needed necessities to children at the Zhanjiang Social Welfare Institute in Southern China. ZKO's board of directors is comprised of a group of parents who have adopted children from this orphanage and each and every one of them works on a volunteer basis to insure that 100% of all contributions goes directly to provide for children at the Institute.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference and save a child's life. To learn how you can help, please click through to Zhanjiang Kids.
